Refund Policy

Last updated: 10 August 2026 · Applies to all paid ClientReady services

Short version: if we mess up, you get your money back. If your notice PDF fails to deliver, if we made a mistake in it, or if the service is unusable for a reason we caused — email us and we'll refund you. The paragraphs below explain the exceptions honestly.

Our goodwill promise (in plain English): We refund in full if any of these happens — the notice PDF fails to deliver, the notice contains a defect we caused, the service is down and you can't get your paperwork before you need it, or the output is unusable for a reason that's on us. No hoops. Reply to our order confirmation email and we sort it.

1. The 14-day EU right of withdrawal (and why it's waived here)

Under EU consumer law you normally have 14 days after buying a digital product to change your mind and get a refund, no reason needed. There's an exception for digital services that begin immediately on payment — the buyer can waive the right of withdrawal in exchange for instant access.

The RTB Notice Service falls into that exception. The instant Payhip confirms your payment, our server pulls comparables from the RTB Rent Register, renders your PDF, and Postmark delivers it to your inbox — typically within 15 minutes. That's the product doing what you paid for.

At checkout we make this waiver explicit. By ticking the box and paying, you acknowledge that:

Waiving the 14-day withdrawal window does not affect any of the refund rights we describe below, or your statutory rights if the service is defective.

2. Our own refund promise

The 14-day EU rule is the legal floor. Above it we run a founder-grade goodwill policy — the whole business runs on trust and re-orders, so it's the sensible thing to do. We refund in full in each of these situations:

3. How to request a refund

  1. Reply to the Payhip receipt email OR email hello@clientready.eu with the subject "Refund — [your order reference]".
  2. Tell us in one line what went wrong. Screenshots or a forwarded email help but aren't required.
  3. We reply within 5 business days (usually same day).
  4. Approved refunds go back through Payhip to your original payment method within 14 days. In practice it's usually 2–3 working days depending on your bank.

4. Response & refund timeline

5. What we won't refund

To be straight with you:

6. The free agency trial

The 3-notice trial for PSRA-licensed letting agents is free. Nothing to refund. You can cancel or delete your remaining allocation at any time by emailing us — no refund needed because no money changed hands.

7. Etsy & Payhip paperwork packs (€12–€19)

These are digital downloads. The same "service begins immediately" logic applies. If a pack file is corrupted, missing, or materially wrong for the jurisdiction it claims to cover, we refund. If you bought the pack, downloaded it, and then decided it wasn't the right pack — sorry, we don't refund. Read the listing description before you buy.

Packs sold via Etsy are subject to Etsy's own refund process — you'll get the fastest resolution by opening a Help request with Etsy and copying us at hello@clientready.eu.

8. Audits (€399)

Audits are booked consulting time. If you cancel 7 days or more before the audit start date, full refund. If you cancel less than 7 days before start, we retain 50% (we've already blocked the calendar and started prep). If we cancel or reschedule for our own reason, full refund. If the delivered audit doesn't meet the scope agreed at booking, tell us within 14 days and we'll fix it or refund the difference.

9. Chargebacks — please don't

Chargebacks (disputing the charge with your bank instead of asking us) cost us fees and time regardless of who's right, and they trigger automatic account suspension at Payhip. If you have a problem, email us first — we've resolved every legitimate complaint we've received without the customer needing to escalate. If you disagree with our refund decision, you can still escalate to your bank, but please try us first.
